When Monitored:
First 20 seconds after engine start, as long as the engine has been off for at least 1 hour, engine coolant temperature has dropped at least 7°C (18°F), and the vehicle is NOT driven over 2mph.

Set Condition:
NOTE: This diagnostic only applies to the Exhaust Camshaft on Bank 2. If the actual cam position is more than 7° advanced (angular variation) from its desired position for at least 4 seconds, this DTC is set.

| 2. | With the scan tool, read PCM DTCs. |
Is this DTC present?
Yes
- For complete diagnosis of this DTC, refer to (P0019) CRANKSHAFT/CAMSHAFT TIMING MISALIGNMENT - BANK 2 SENSOR 2.
No
- Go To 2
2. INTERMITTENT WIRING AND CONNECTORS
| 1. | The conditions necessary to set this DTC are not present at this time. |
| NOTE: | Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary. Poor pin to terminal connections can set DTCs. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors specific to this DTC. Wiggle the wires while checking for shorts and open circuits. |
| NOTE: | Check for any Technical Service Bulletins that may apply. |
Were there any problems found?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure)
