REMOVAL

REMOVAL

  1. Remove the HVAC outlet (1). (Refer to 24 - Heating and Air Conditioning/Distribution/OUTLET, Air - Removal)

  2. Position the steering wheel into the full down position.

    3.  
  3. Remove the steering column opening cover (3). (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/COVER, Steering Column Opening - Removal)

  4. Remove the two center HVAC outlets. (Refer to 24 - Heating and Air Conditioning/Distribution/OUTLET, Air - Removal)

  5. If equipped with power windows, using a Trim Stick C-4755 or a suitable flat bladed tool, gently pry the switch assembly (2) away from the instrument cluster bezel (1).

  6. For vehicles without power windows, using a Trim Stick C-4755 or a suitable flat bladed tool, gently pry the storage bin assembly away from the bezel and remove.

  7. Disconnect the switch assembly electrical connector and remove the switch.

  8. Remove the storage bin mat and remove the top screw (1).

  9. Remove the screw (2) from the switch opening.

    10.  
  10. Remove the screws (3).

    CAUTION:

    Do not use tools to release the lower bezel retaining clips or damage to the bezel and reinforcment ring can occur.

  11. Without the use of tools reach into the IP cavity through the vent openings (1) and firmly grasp the lower bezel (2) behind the bezel reinforcement ring and carefully pull the bezel back to release the lower retaining clips (3).

  12. Release the remaining 13 retaining clips (1) and remove the bezel (2).

  13. Disconnect the power window switch electrical connector, if equipped.

INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

  1. Position the bezel (2) into place and seat the 19 clips (1) fully.

  2. Install the screws (3).

  3. Install the screw (2) in the switch/bin opening.

    4.  
  4. Install the storage bin screw (1) and position the bin mat back into place.

    5.  
  5. Position the window switch assembly (2) and connect electrical harness connectors.

  6. Position the switch and press into place, engaging the integrated latches.

    7.  
  7. Position the storage bin, if equipped, back and seat fully.

  8. Install the HVAC outlets (1). (Refer to 24 - Heating and Air Conditioning/Distribution/OUTLET, Air - Installation)

  10. Install the steering column opening cover (3). (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/COVER, Steering Column Opening - Installation)
