COVER, Instrument Panel

REMOVAL

REMOVAL

  1. Remove the center console, (Refer to 23 - Body/Interior/CONSOLE, Center - Removal) .

  2. Disconnect the center harness (1) electrical connectors and position aside.

    3.  
  3. Remove the amplifier, if equipped.

    4.  
  4. Remove the steering column as necessary, (Refer to 19 - Steering/Column - Removal) .

    5.  
  5. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, remove the end caps (1).

    6.  
  6. Remove the center trim, (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/BEZEL, Instrument Panel - Removal) .

  7. Remove the radio, if necessary.

  8. Remove the glove box, (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/GLOVE BOX, Instrument Panel - Removal) .

  9. Remove the upper I/P tweeter speakers, if necessary.

  10. Remove the cluster bezel, (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/BEZEL, Instrument Cluster - Removal) .

  11. Remove the passenger air bag, (Refer to 10 - Restraints/AIR BAG, Passenger - Removal)

  12. Remove the glove box striker.

  13. Remove the screws securing the cover to the I/P reinforcement and remove the cover.

INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

  1. Position the cover over the I/P reinforcement and install the screws.

    2.  
  2. Install the glove box striker.

    3.  
  3. Install the passenger air bag, (Refer to 10 - Restraints/AIR BAG, Passenger - Installation) .

  4. Install the cluster bezel, (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/BEZEL, Instrument Cluster - Installation) .

  5. Install the upper I/P tweeter speakers, if necessary.

  6. Install the glove box, (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/GLOVE BOX, Instrument Panel - Installation) .

  7. Install the radio, if necessary.

  8. Install the center trim, (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/BEZEL, Instrument Panel - Installation) .

  9. Position the end caps (1) into place and seat the clips fully.

    10.  
  10. Install the steering column, (Refer to 19 - Steering/Column - Installation) .

  11. Install the amplifier, if necessary.

  12. Position the center harness (1) back into place, secure the support clips and connect the electrical connectors.

  13. Install the center console, (Refer to 23 - Body/Interior/CONSOLE, Center - Installation) .
