HOSE, Power Steering

PRESSURE HOSE

PRESSURE HOSE

  1. Siphon as much fluid as possible from the power steering fluid reservoir.

    2.  
  2. Remove the air box assembly (Refer to 09 - Engine/Air Intake System/BODY, Air Cleaner - Removal) .

    3.  
  3. Remove the pressure hose fitting (1) at the pump.

    4.  
  4. Remove the pressure hose routing clip retainers (3) at the frame.

    5.  
  5. Move the coolant bottle to the side out of the way.

    6.  
  6. Remove the pressure hose (2) at the gear.

    7.  
  7. Remove the pressure hose (2) from the vehicle.

RETURN HOSE

RETURN HOSE

  1. Siphon as much fluid as possible from the power steering fluid reservoir.

    2.  
  2. Remove the air box assembly (Refer to 09 - Engine/Air Intake System/BODY, Air Cleaner - Removal) .

    3.  
  3. Remove the clamp (3) for the return hose (4) at the reservoir (1) and then remove the hose.

    4.  
  4. Move the coolant bottle to the side out of the way.

    5.  
  5. Remove the return hose (1) at the gear.

    6.  
  6. Remove the grille (Refer to 23 - Body/Exterior/GRILLE - Removal) .

  7. Remove the panel in between the grille and the bumper (3).

    8.  
  8. Remove the return hose routing clips (1) at the body.

    9.  
  9. Remove the return hose (2) from the vehicle.

SUPPLY HOSE

SUPPLY HOSE

  1. Siphon as much fluid as possible from the power steering fluid reservoir.

    2.  
  2. Remove the air box assembly (Refer to 09 - Engine/Air Intake System/BODY, Air Cleaner - Removal) .

  3. Remove the supply hose (4) at the reservoir (1).

    4.  
  4. Remove the supply hose (1) at the pump.

    5.  
  5. Remove the supply hose (1) from the vehicle.

PRESSURE HOSE

PRESSURE HOSE

  1. Position the pressure hose to the vehicle.

    2.  
  2. Install the Pressure hose (2) at the gear and tighten the tube nut to 28 N·m (21 ft. lbs.).

  3. Install the pressure hose (2) at the pump and tighten the tube nut (1) to 31 N·m (23 ft. lbs.).

  4. Install the pressure hose routing clip retainers and tighten to 7 N·m (62 in. lbs.).

  5. Reinstall the coolant bottle back into position.

    6.  
  6. Fill and bleed the power steering system (Refer to 19 - Steering - Standard Procedure) .

  7. Check for leaks.

  8. Install the air box assembly (Refer to 09 - Engine/Air Intake System/BODY, Air Cleaner - Installation) .

RETURN HOSE

RETURN HOSE

  1. Install the return hose (2) to the vehicle.

    2.  
  2. Install and secure the return hose at the routing clips (1).

    3.  
  3. Install the bumper to grille panel (3).

    4.  
  4. Install the return hose (1) at the gear and tighten the tube nut to 28 N·m (21 ft. lbs.).

    5.  
  5. Install the return hose (4) at the reservoir (1).

    6.  
  6. Reinstall the coolant bottle back into position.

    7.  
  7. Fill and bleed the power steering system (Refer to 19 - Steering - Standard Procedure) .

  8. Check for leaks.

  9. Install the air box assembly (Refer to 09 - Engine/Air Intake System/BODY, Air Cleaner - Installation) .

  10. Install the front grille (Refer to 23 - Body/Exterior/GRILLE - Installation) .

  1. Position the supply hose (3) to the vehicle.

    2.  
  2. Install the supply hose (1) at the pump.

    3.  
  3. Install the supply hose (6) to the reservoir (1).

    4.  
  4. Fill and bleed the power steering system (Refer to 19 - Steering - Standard Procedure) .

    5.  
  5. Check for leaks.

  6. Install the air box assembly (Refer to 09 - Engine/Air Intake System/BODY, Air Cleaner - Installation) .
