DESCRIPTION

When the stop light switch is turned on, current flows to the stop lights to illuminate them.

READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (STOP LIGHT SWITCH)

(a) Using the Techstream, read the Data List.

(a) Disconnect the A39 stop light relay connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

(1) Disconnect the K4 and L3 light connectors.

(2) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

CHECK STOP LIGHT CONTROL RELAY

(a) Temporarily replace the stop light control relay with a new or normally functioning one LIGHTING (EXT): RELAY: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION (2008 LX570) .

(b) Check the stop light operation.

OK:

Stop light operation is normal.

INSPECT STOP LIGHT SWITCH


(a) Remove the stop light switch LIGHTING (EXT): STOP LIGHT SWITCH: INSPECTION (2008 LX570) .

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
