REMOVAL

HINT:

  • Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY LH

2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE COVER LH

(a) Operate the power seat switch and move the seat to the storage position.

HINT:

In order to remove the seat, do not engage the striker.

(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the cover.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT HINGE COVER LH



(a) Detach the 3 claws and 2 clips, and remove the cover.

4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:

w/ Navigation System:

After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected INTRODUCTION: REPAIR INSTRUCTION: CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS (2008 LX570) .

5. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY



(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Remove the 4 bolts and seat assembly.

NOTICE:

Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

6. REMOVE REAR STEP COVER INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

8. REMOVE REAR FLOOR MAT REAR SUPPORT PLATE INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

9. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

10. REMOVE REAR SEAT COVER CAP INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

11. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

12. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Detach the 4 claws and remove the seat lock control lever.

13. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT COVER BEZEL



(a) Detach the 6 clips and remove the rear No. 2 seat cover bezel.

14. REMOVE FOLD SEAT SWITCH ASSEMBLY



(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the switch.

15. REMOVE REAR ROOF NO. 1 AIR DUCT (for LH Side) HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: REAR AIR CONDITIONING UNIT: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

16. REMOVE NO. 1 WOOFER BOX SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side, w/ Woofer) AUDIO / VIDEO: LUGGAGE SPEAKER: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

17. REMOVE FOLD SEAT LEG LOCK SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Detach the 2 cable clamps.

(b) Remove the 2 nuts and fold seat leg lock.

18. REMOVE NO. 3 SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Detach the 4 clips and 16 claws, and remove the 4 seat cushion covers.

19. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK STRIKER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Fold back the floor carpet.

(b) Remove the 8 bolts and 4 seat lock strikers.
