GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Removal / installation


1. INSPECT BRAKE LINE PIPES AND HOSES

HINT:
Check in a well-lighted area. Check the entire circumference and length of the brake hoses using a mirror as required. Turn the front wheels fully tight or left before checking the front brake.

  1. Using a mirror, check the entire circumference and length of the brake lines and hoses for:

    1. Damage
    2. Wear
    3. Deformation
    4. Cracks
    5. Corrosion
    6. Leaks
    7. Bends
    8. Twists


2. INSPECT FRONT BRAKE PADS AND DISCS

3. INSPECT REAR BRAKE PADS AND DISCS

4. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE LINNGS
(Click here)

5. INSPECT OR CHARGE BRAKE FLUID

Fluid:
SAE J1703 or FMVSS No.114 DOT3
