Clearing Codes

NOTE: To erase diagnostic trouble codes with a scan tool, follow the directions given by the tools manufacturer.

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery for 10 seconds or more, then reattach it.
3. Turn ON the ignition switch and read the diagnostic trouble codes checking that a normal code is output.
