Door Locks

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Manual Locks
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the door interior trim panel and weatherproof film. Position the door glass so the key cylinder and related components are accessible.
  3. Disconnect the actuator rod(s) from the lock cylinder. If equipped with a theft alarm system, detach the electrical connector at the door key cylinder unlock switch.

  4. Remove the retainer ring from the base of the door lock cylinder.
  5. Remove the door lock key cylinder from the vehicle.
  6. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
Power Locks
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the door trim panel and waterproof film.
  3. Disconnect the door lock actuator from the door latch assembly.
  4. Remove the retainer bolt and nut. Detach the electrical connector, then remove the door latch assembly from the door.
  5. Remove the retainer ring from the base of the door lock cylinder.
  6. Remove the door lock key cylinder from the vehicle.
  7. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
