- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the rear liftgate trim.
- If necessary, remove the rear combination light.
- Unfasten the retainer, then remove the lock cylinder (vehicles without the
theft deterrent system) r lock cylinder switch (vehicles with theft deterrent
switch) from the liftgate.
- Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
