Fuel Pump

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Remove the rear seat cushion.
2. Remove the fuel pump module cover.
3. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
4. Disconnect the wiring and fuel lines from the top of the fuel pump module.
5. Use the special tool such as MB991480 to remove the fuel pump lock ring and remove the fuel pump.

To Install:

1. Lubricate the new sealing ring with gasoline and install the fuel pump module in the tank. Use the special tool such as MB991480 to install the fuel pump lock ring.
2. Connect the wiring and fuel lines to the fuel pump module.
3. Turn the key to on to run the pump and check for leaks.
4. Install the fuel pump module cover.
5. Install the rear seat cushion.
