- Remove the driver’s side instrument panel side cover to access the fuel pump relay.
- Remove the fuel pump relay.
- Start the engine and allow it to stall due to lack of fuel. Crank the engine for about 5 seconds to further reduce fuel pressure.
- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF "LOCK" position.
- Install the fuel pump relay. Do not turn the ignition key to ON until service is complete.
- Install the side cover on the instrument panel.
