Remove the power steering pump bracket and the power steering pump bracket stay.
Remove the drive belt tensioner.
To remove the crankshaft bolt, use a flywheel stopper (special tool #MD998781) to hold the drive plate or flywheel, then remove the crankshaft bolt.
Remove the crankshaft pulley washer.
Remove the damper pulley.
Remove the generator.
Remove the generator bracket.
Remove the oil dipstick.
Remove the O-rings.
Remove the oil dipstick guide.
To Install:
Generator & drive belt removal
Install the oil dipstick guide.
Install the O-rings.
Install the oil dipstick.
Install the generator bracket.
Install the generator.
Install the damper pulley.
Install the crankshaft pulley washer.
To install the crankshaft bolt, follow these steps:
Step 1: Use a flywheel stopper (special tool #MD998781) to hold the drive plate or flywheel.
Step 2: Use a clean rag to wipe any dirt off of the crankshaft thread hole, the crankshaft pulley washer, and the crankshaft pulley.
Step 3: Degrease the part of the crankshaft pulley that the crankshaft and crankshaft sprocket fit into.
Step 4: Install the crankshaft pulley.
Step 5: Apply a small amount of engine oil to the crankshaft bolt threads and the seating surface.
Step 6: Turning the inside chamfer side of the crankshaft pulley washer toward the bolt head, install the crankshaft pulley washer to the crankshaft bolt.
Step 7: Tighten the crankshaft bolt to 137 ft-lbs (185 Nm).
