To Remove:
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the instrument panel for evaporator service.
CAUTION
Do not knock or bump the SRS control unit while working on the dashboard and related components.
- Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system.
- Drain the cooling system.
- Remove the instrument panel.
- Remove the front seat assembly.
- Remove the floor console.
- Remove the front floor carpet.
- Remove the steering shaft mounting bolts.
- Remove the front deck crossmember.
- Disconnect the heater hoses.
- Disconnect the refrigerant lines. Cap the open lines to prevent dirt and moisture from entering.
- Remove the center duct.
- Remove the heater unit.
- Remove the intake duct.
- Remove the blower assembly.

To Install:
- Install the blower assembly.
- Install the intake duct.
- Install the heater unit.
- Install the center duct.
- Connect the refrigerant lines with new o-rings. Apply refrigerant oil to the o-rings.
- Connect the heater hoses.
- Install the front deck crossmember.
- Install the steering shaft mounting bolts.
- Install the front floor carpet.
- Install the floor console.
- Install the front seat assembly.
- Install the instrument panel.
- Refill the cooling system.
- Evacuate and charge the A/C system.
