Code No. U1195: Coding not Completed

caution
  • If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect diagnosis code may be set. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines.
  • Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
  • When diagnosis code No.U1195 is set in ACC/FCM-ECU, the diagnosis code may also be set in ETACS-ECU. When the diagnosis code is set in ETACS-ECU, perform the diagnosis of the diagnosis code for ETACS-ECU first.
  • When the ETACS-ECU of vehicles without KOS is replaced, the encrypted code of the ignition key needs to be registered to the ETACS-ECU. (If the encrypted code is not registered, the engine cannot be started. Register the encrypted code as described in GROUP 54A, Immobilizer System - How to Register Key ID .)
  • When the ACC/FCM-ECU is replaced, calibrate the radar (refer to ).

OPERATION
ACC/FCM-ECU receives the vehicle information stored in ETACS-ECU via CAN bus lines.

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITION
Check Condition
  • Ignition switch is "ON" position.
Judgement Criterion
  • Coding has not been performed.
noteA diagnosis code is not set as a historic fault.

PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of the CAN bus line
  • Coding not implemented
  • ETACS-ECU malfunction
  • Malfunction of ACC/FCM-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. M.U.T.-IIISE CAN bus diagnostics.
Use M.U.T.-IIISE to perform the CAN bus diagnosis.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting, Can Bus Diagnostics Table ).

STEP 2. Check the ETACS system diagnosis code.
Using M.U.T.-IIISE, perform ETACS system diagnosis code (Refer to GROUP 54A - ETACS, Troubleshooting, Diagnosis Function ).
Is diagnosis code No.B222C set?
Perform ETACS coding operation. Refer to the M.U.T.-IIISE user's manual.
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.
Is diagnosis code No.U1195 set?
Replace the ACC/FCM-ECU (Refer to ).
It can be assumed that this malfunction is intermittent (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
