Code No. U1195: Coding not completed

caution
  • If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect diagnosis code may be set. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines.
  • Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
  • When the diagnosis code No.U1195 is set in CVT-ECU, the diagnosis code may also be set in ETACS-ECU. When the diagnosis code is set in ETACS-ECU, perform the diagnosis of the diagnosis code for ETACS-ECU first.

DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION
CVT-ECU checks that the coding information is normal.

JUDGEMENT CRITERIA
When the CVT-ECU coding has not been performed.

PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of CAN bus line
  • Variant coding for ETACS-ECU has not been implemented.
  • Malfunction of ETACS-ECU
  • Malfunction of CVT-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. M.U.T.-IIISE CAN bus diagnostics
Use the M.U.T.-IIISE to diagnose the CAN bus lines.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting ).

STEP 2. Use M.U.T.-IIISE to confirm a diagnosis code of other systems.
Check if a coding-related diagnosis code is set in the ETACS-ECU.
Is the diagnosis code set?
Diagnose the ETACS-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54A - Troubleshooting ).
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Diagnosis code recheck
Check again if the diagnosis code is set in the CVT-ECU.
(1) Erase the diagnosis code.
(2) Turn the ignition switch from the LOCK (OFF) position to the ON position.
(3) Check if the diagnosis code is set.
Is the diagnosis code set?
Replace the CVT-ECU.
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
