caution
  • When diagnosis code No. B1A25 is set, be sure to diagnose the CAN bus line.
  • When replacing the ECU, always check that the communication circuit is normal.
 
 
DIAGNOSIS FUNCTION
Diagnosis code No. B1A25 is set when the ETACS-ECU or the transponder fails.
 
 
JUDGEMENT CRITERIA
The ETACS-ECU determines that the system is defective when the ETACS-ECU or the transponder fails with the ignition switch "ON".
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of CAN bus line
  • Malfunction of the ignition key
  • Malfunction of ETACS-ECU
  • Malfunction of the transponder
 
 
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. M.U.T.-IIISE CAN bus diagnostics
Use M.U.T.-IIISE to diagnose the CAN bus lines.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair the CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting ).
 
STEP 2. Register the key ID and recheck the diagnosis code.
Register the key ID of the ignition key which the diagnosis code indicates (Refer to ), and recheck if the diagnosis code is set.
(1) Register the ignition key which the diagnosis code indicates.
(2) Remove the ignition key from the cylinder and then insert the ignition key again.
(3) Wait for a few seconds, and then turn the ignition "ON".
(4) Check if the diagnosis code is set.
Is the diagnosis code set?
Go to Step 3.
The diagnosis is complete.
 
STEP 3. Replace the ignition key with a new one, and recheck the diagnosis code.
Replace the ignition key, which the diagnosis code indicates, with a new one, register the key ID of the new key, (refer to ), and recheck if the diagnosis code is set.
(1) Replace the ignition key, which the diagnosis code indicates, with a new one. Then register it.
(2) Clear the diagnosis code.
(3) Remove the ignition key from the cylinder and then insert the ignition key again.
(4) Wait for a few seconds, and then turn the ignition "ON".
(5) Check if the diagnosis code is set.
Is the diagnosis code set?
Replace the ETACS-ECU (Refer to ) and register the ID codes (Refer to ).
The diagnosis is complete.
