REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the O2sensor cord.
2. Remove the exhaust manifold plate.
3. Apply CRC® (004301003) or its equivalent to the threaded portion of the oxygen (O2) sensor, and let is soak.
4. Loosen the O2sensor by turning it 10–40°with a wrench.
5. Apply CRC® (004301003) or its equivalent to the threaded portion of the oxygen (O2) sensor again, and let is soak.
6. Remove the O2sensor.

   WARNING
   When removing, do not force the O2sensor, especially when the exhaust manifold is cold, otherwise it will damage the exhaust manifold.

   To install:

7. Apply an anti–seize compound only to the threaded portion of the O2sensor.
8. Install the O2sensor into the exhaust manifold and torque it 18–25 ft. lbs. (24–33 Nm).
9. Install the exhaust manifold plate, and securely connect the O2sensor cord.
