ANTENNA TRIMMER ADJUSTMENT

The antenna trimmer should always be adjusted when the antenna and/or its lead are replaced. It is a good idea to adjust it if the radio has been removed from the car for any reason.

  1. Remove the radio from the car, as necessary, to gain access to the trimmer.
  2. Be sure that the speaker and antenna leads are connected to the radio, and that the antenna is pulled up all the way.
  3. Select a weak station around 1400 kHz on the dial.
  4. Turn the trimmer screw either right or left until the signal become's the strongest (volume the loudest).
  5. Install the radio after the adjustment is completed.
