Unfasten the universal joint connecting bolts and remove the universal.
Disengage the connector to the ignition switch.
Disengage the combination switch wiring harness under the instrument panel.
Remove the steering shaft installing bolts under the instrument panel.
Pull out the steering shaft assembly from the hole in the toe board.
WARNING
Be sure to remove the steering shaft assembly installing bolts when removing
the steering shaft assembly or leaving it downward for servicing of other
parts.
Installation is the reverse of removal.
