REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

NOTE: The ignition coil is located on the firewall.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the ignition coil cover, if equipped.
  3. Disconnect the high tension wire from the coil.
  4. Tag, then remove the lead wires attached to the coil.
  5. Remove the coil by either loosening the nut and bolt on the coil bracket, and sliding the coil out, or removing the retaining screws securing the coil and bracket to the firewall.
  6. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the remainder of the components to specifications.
