- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the blower switch control knob.
- Loosen and remove the blower switch retainer nut.
- Remove the control panel from the dash.
- Remove the blower switch from the rear of the control panel.
- Unfasten the wire harness from the blower switch.
- Installation is the reverse of removal. Secure all components accordingly.
- Test the blower switch to make sure it functions at all speeds.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- On some models, remove the console box and control panel assembly.
- Remove the blower switch retainer screws, and lift out the blower switch
and control knobs.
- Unfasten the wire harness from the blower switch.
- Remove the control knobs from the switch assembly.
- Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten each component accordingly.
- Test the blower switch to make sure it functions correctly on all speeds.
The blower switch is an integral part of the control panel assembly, and
is not replaceable or serviceable by itself. In the event the fan switch requires
service, the entire control panel must be replaced.
