Back-up Light Switch

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

This switch is threaded into the side of the transaxle extension housing on 2WD and 4WD transaxles.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  3. Unplug the electrical connector from the harness. Use an open end wrench to remove the switch.
  4. Installation is the reverse of removal. Secure the switch to 17–20 ft. lbs. (23–26 Nm). Engage the electrical connector.
  5. Lower the vehicle and connect the negative battery cable.
