The Justy is not equipped with a rear sway bar.
- Raise and safely support the vehicle on jackstands.
- Remove the sway bar bushing clamp bolts and sway bar bushing clamps.
- Remove the sway bar-to-inner control arm mounting bolts, and remove the
sway bar from the vehicle.
To install:
- Position the sway bar on the vehicle, and install the sway bar-to-inner
control arm mounting bolts.
- Install the sway bar bushing brackets and mounting bolts.
- Lower the vehicle.

Sway bars are equipped on 4WD vehicles only.
- Raise and safely support the vehicle on jackstands.
- Remove the wheels.
- Mark the location and direction of the stabilizer mounting clamps. This
will ensure proper installation.
- Remove the stabilizer-to-crossmember bolts.
- Remove the bolts that secure the stabilizer to the control link.
To install:
- Check all of the bushings for deformity or damage. Replace any bushing that
shows signs of deterioration.
- Install the bushings and clamps on the stabilizer, aligning any marks made
during removal.
- Install the stabilizer bar into position, and install the retaining bolts.
Tighten bolts to the following amounts:
- Stabilizer link-to-control link — 13–17 ft. lbs.
(18–23 Nm).
- Stabilizer-to-crossmember — 15–21 ft. lbs. (21–28
Nm).
- Install the wheels and lower the vehicle.

- Raise and safely support the vehicle.
- Remove the sway bar link-to-sway bar mounting nuts and bolts.
- Remove the sway bar bracket mounting bolts, then remove the brackets from
the frame.
- Remove the sway bar.
To install:
- Position the sway bar on the vehicle and install the sway bar brackets on
the paint marks on the sway bar. Install the bolts and tighten to 15 ft. lbs.
(20 Nm).
NOTE: When installing the sway bar brackets make sure the
brackets are installed in the correct direction. The upper end of the bracket
is shorter than the lower.
- Connect the sway bar to the sway bar links and tighten the mounting nuts
and bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm).
- Lower the vehicle.
