Brake Light Switch

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Disconnect the electrical harness from the stop light switch.
Loosen the jam nut and unthread the switch from the mounting bracket.
Installation is the reverse of removal. Adjust the switch clearance:
- Justy, Coupe, Sedan, XT, Wagon and Brat — 0.071–0.130 in. (1.8–3.3mm)
- Legacy and Impreza — 0.079 in. (2mm)
- SVX — 0.079–0.138 in. (2–3.5mm)
Tighten the jam nut.
