Crankshaft Damper

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • V-belt

     Crank Pulley

   • Crankshaft pulley bolt

     Note: To lock the crankshaft, use ST. ST 499977100 CRANKSHAFT PULLEY WRENCH.

   • Crankshaft pulley

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following:
   • Crankshaft pulley
   • Pulley bolt and tighten in two stages

     Note: Clean the crankshaft pulley thread using an air gun. Apply engine oil to the crankshaft pulley bolt seat and thread.

     1. Stage 1 - Torque to: 32.5 ft. lbs. (44 Nm)
     2. Stage 2 - Torque to: 94 ft. lbs. (127 Nm) plus 45 degrees
   • A/C belt tensioner
   • V-belt
