Removal & Installation

Radiator Main Fan

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Battery ground cable
   • Under cover
   • Radiator under cover (A/T vehicles)

     Main Fan Connector

   • Main fan motor connector

     Air Intake Duct

   • Air intake duct (turbo vehicles)

     Overflow pipe

   • Overflow hose
   • Overflow pipe (turbo vehicles)
   • Reservoir tank

     Fan Shroud

   • Radiator main fan motor assembly

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following:

   Fan Shroud

   • Radiator main fan motor assembly
     1. Torque to: 3.6 ft. lbs. (4.9 Nm)
   • Reservoir tank

     Overflow pipe

   • Overflow hose
   • Overflow pipe (turbo vehicles)

     Air Intake Duct

   • Air intake duct (turbo vehicles)

     Main Fan Connector

   • Main fan motor connector
   • Radiator under cover (A/T vehicles)
   • Under cover
   • Battery ground cable

Note: When the main fan motor assembly cannot be installed as is, loosen the sub fan motor assembly securing bolts to install it.

Radiator Sub Fan

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Battery ground cable
   • Under cover

     Sub Fan Connector

   • Sub fan motor connector
   • Air intake duct (turbo vehicles)

     Air Intake Duct

   • Sub fan shroud to radiator bolts

     Overflow pipe

   • Overflow pipe (turbo vehicles)

     Fan Shroud

   • Radiator sub fan shroud (through the under side of vehicle)

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following:

   Fan Shroud

   • Radiator sub fan shroud (through the under side of vehicle)

     Overflow pipe

   • Overflow pipe (turbo vehicles)
   • Sub fan shroud to radiator bolts
     1. Torque to: 3.6 ft. lbs. (4.9 Nm)

     Air Intake Duct

   • Air intake duct (turbo vehicles)

     Sub Fan Connector

   • Sub fan motor connector
   • Under cover
   • Battery ground cable
