Removal and Installation

2.0L DOHC Engine and 2.5L DOHC Engine

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Ground cable from battery
   • Exhaust temperature sensor connector
   • Front oxygen (A/F) sensor
   • Under cover
   • Lower exhaust manifold cover
   • Nuts connecting the front exhaust manifold to joint pipe
   • Center exhaust pipe
   • Turbocharger
   • Joint pipe

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following:
   • Joint pipe
     1. Torque to: 26 ft. lbs. (35 Nm)
   • Center exhaust pipe
   • Joint pipe to front exhaust manifold nuts
     1. Torque to: 26 ft. lbs. (35 Nm)
   • Lower exhaust manifold cover
   • Under cover
   • Front oxygen sensor
   • Exhaust temperature sensor connector
   • Battery ground cable

2.5L SOHC Engine

There is no joint pipe for this application.
