Windshield Wiper Motor

Removal & Installation

Front

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Ground cable from battery
   • Cowl panel

   • Motor electrical connector
   • Bolts and nuts for wiper link
   • Bolts and nuts for motor

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following:
   • Battery ground cable
   • Electrical connector to motor
2. Operate wiper switch once to confirm that motor is at autostop position.
3. Disconnect battery ground cable.

4. Install or connect the following:
   • Nut so that rod (1) and plate (2) are aligned.
   • Bolts and nuts for motor
   • Bolts and nuts for wiper link
   • Cowl panel
   • Ground cable to battery

Rear

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Battery ground cable
   • Rear wiper arm

   • Cap (1), nut (2), and spacer (3) from rear wiper shaft
   • Rear gate lower trim
   • Clip of harness clip

   • Connector of wiper motor
   • Wiper motor bolts
   • Wiper motor assembly (1)

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following:
   • Wiper motor assembly
   • Wiper motor bolts
   • Connector of wiper motor
   • Clip of harness clip
   • Rear gate lower trim
   • Cap, nut, and spacer to rear wiper shaft
   • Rear wiper arm
   • Battery ground cable
