Throttle Linkage

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Ground cable from battery
   • Lock nut from accelerator cable bracket
   • Accelerator cable from bracket
   • Accelerator cable end from throttle cam

     Non-turbo model

     Turbo model

   • Clip inside engine compartment
   • Instrument panel lower cover
   • Accelerator pedal connecting bolt from accelerator pedal bracket
   • Grommet from toe board

     Note: From inside compartment, push the grommet into hole.

   • Cable from toe board hole
   • Accelerator cable bushing from accelerator pedal lever

   • Accelerator cable stopper (1) from bracket
   • Accelerator cable and bracket

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following:
   • Accelerator cable and bracket
   • Accelerator cable stopper to bracket
   • Accelerator cable bushing to accelerator pedal lever
   • Cable through toe board hole
   • Grommet to toe board
   • Accelerator pedal connecting bolt to accelerator pedal bracket
   • Instrument panel lower cover
   • Clip inside engine compartment
   • Accelerator cable end to throttle cam
   • Accelerator cable to bracket
2. Adjust the pedal.
