Removal & Installation

Rear Trailing Link

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Safely raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Rear wheels
   • Rear parking brake clamps
   • ABS sensor harness

   • Trailing link to bracket bolt
   • Trailing link to rear housing bolt

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following:
   • Trailing link to rear housing bolt
   • Trailing link to bracket bolt
   • ABS sensor harness
   • Rear parking brake clamps
   • Rear wheels
2. Lower the vehicle.

Lateral Link

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Safely raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Stabilizers (Turbo model)
   • ABS sensor harness from trailing link

   • Trailing link to housing bolt
   • Lateral link assembly to rear housing bolts

   • DOJ from rear differential using special tool (28099PA100)

   Note: The side spline shaft circlip comes out together with the shaft.

4. Make a mark on the rear lateral link adjusting bolt and crossmember.
5. Remove the bolts securing front and rear lateral links to crossmember.
6. Remove lateral links.

To Install:

CAUTION
Always tighten rubber bushing when the vehicle is at curb weight.

1. Install or connect the following:
   • Lateral links to cross member with the bolts
   • DOJ to rear differential
   • Lateral link assembly to rear housing with the bolts
   • Trailing link to housing with the bolt
   • ABS sensor harness to trailing link
   • Stabilizers (Turbo model)
