Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Safely raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Rear wheels
   • Rear seat cushion
   • Console box
   • Parking cable adjusting nut and console bracket

   • Parking brake lever
   • Floor mat
   • Clamps

   • Equalizer cover
   • Inner cable end from equalizer
   • Parking brake cable from rear brake
   • Clamp from rear brake
   • Bolt and bracket from trailing link bracket
   • Bolt and clamp from rear floor
   • Grommet from rear floor
   • Cable assembly from cabin by pulling it backward
   • Parking brake cable from cable guide at rear trailing link

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following:
   • Parking brake cable to cable guide at rear trailing link
   • Cable assembly to cabin
   • Grommet to rear floor
   • Bolt and clamp to rear floor
   • Bolt and bracket to trailing link bracket
   • Clamp to rear brake
   • Parking brake cable to rear brake

   • Inner cable end to equalizer
   • Equalizer cover
   • Clamps
   • Floor mat

   • Parking brake lever
   • Parking cable adjusting nut and console bracket
   • Console box
   • Rear seat cushion
   • Rear wheels
2. Lower the vehicle.

CAUTION
Be sure to pass cable through the cable guide within the tunnel.
Be sure to adjust the lever stroke.
