Center Exhaust Pipe

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Disconnect or remove the following
   • Ground cable from battery
   • Intercooler (w/turbo)

     Intercooler Bracket

   • Intercooler bracket (w/turbo)
   • Under cover
   • Turbocharger upper cover installation bolts (w/turbo)

     CAUTION
     Be careful, the turbocharger and exhaust pipe are hot.

     Turbo Charger Upper Cover

   • Turbocharger upper cover (w/turbo)

   • Center exhaust pipe from turbocharger (w/turbo)

     Rear O2 Sensor

   • Connector from rear oxygen sensor
   • Clip from crossmember
   • Center exhaust pipe from rear exhaust pipe
   • Center exhaust pipe bracket to transmission bolt

   • Center exhaust pipe to hanger bracket bolt

   • Center exhaust pipe

To Install:

NOTE: Replace the gaskets with new ones.

1. Install or connect the following
   • center exhaust pipe and temporarily tighten the bolt which holds the center exhaust pipe to hanger bracket and pipe to transmission
   • center exhaust pipe to turbocharger (w/turbo)
   • center exhaust pipe to rear exhaust pipe
   • connector to rear oxygen sensor
   • clip on crossmember
2. Tighten the bolt which holds the center exhaust pipe bracket to transmission
3. Tighten the bolt which holds the center exhaust pipe to hanger bracket
4. Place the turbocharger lower cover, and tighten the bolts which install the upper side of lower cover (w/turbo)
5. Place the turbocharger upper cover, and tighten the bolts which install the upper side of upper cover (w/turbo)
6. Tighten the bolts which install the under side of turbocharger upper cover (w/turbo)
7. Install the following
8. Under cover
9. Intercooler bracket (w/turbo)
10. Intercooler (w/turbo)
