Water Pump

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Remove or disconnect the following
   • Radiator
   • V-belts
   • Timing belt

   • Automatic belt tension adjuster (A)
   • Belt idler (B)
   • Belt idler No. 2 (C)
   • Camshaft position sensor
   • Camshaft sprockets (LH)

     Camshaft Sprocket Cover

   • Belt cover No. 2 (LH)

     Left Tensioner Bracket

   • Tensioner bracket
   • Water pump hose

     Water Pump

   • Water pump

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following

   Water Pump

   • Water pump onto cylinder block (LH)

     Tightening Order

     NOTE: Replace the gasket with a new one. When installing the water pump, tighten bolts in two stages in alphabetical sequence as shown in the figure.

   • Hose to water pump

     Left Tensioner Bracket

   • Tensioner bracket

     Camshaft Sprocket Cover

   • Belt cover no. 2 (lh)
   • Camshaft sprockets
   • Camshaft position sensor

   • Belt idler no. 2 (c)
   • Belt idler (b)
   • Automatic belt tension adjuster (a) which has tension rod held by pin
   • Timing belt
   • V-belts
   • Radiator
2. Check and or fill coolant
