P0087: Fuel Rail / System Pressure – Too Low Any of the following conditions is met.
•Measured fuel pressure in common rail is far below targeted fuel pressure for specified time. (1 D/C detection logic)•Calculate delivery fuel quantity is smaller than specified value. •Fuel pressure in common rail is lower than specified value based on engine speed. |
•Fuel pressure sensor and/or its circuit
•Low fuel pressure circuit (fuel pressure regulator in fuel pump, fuel pump and/or its circuit, fuel hose, fuel pipe) •High fuel pressure circuit (high pressure pump, common rail, high pressure pipe, fuel injector) •ECM |

Fuel pressure sensor replacement
1)Replace fuel pressure sensor.
2)Clear DTC.
3)Recheck DTCs.
Is DTC P0087 or P0088 still detected?

Replace ECM and recheck DTC.

Go to Step 5.

High pressure pump replacement
1)Replace high pressure pump.
2)Clear DTC.
3)Check DTCs.
Is DTC P0087 or P0088 still detected?
