Inlet Throttle Valve On-Vehicle Inspection

If you touch the throttle valve with your finger when ignition is “ON” and the accelerator pedal is depressed, your finger may be pinched in the gap between the throttle valve and throttle body housing if the accelerator pedal is released.
Never touch the throttle valve with your finger when ignition is “ON” and the accelerator pedal is depressed.
1)When ignition is “OFF”, connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC.
2)Check DTC.
If DTC other than DTC P0638, P2100, P2101, P2102, P2103, P2107, P2108 or P2119 is detected, repair it according to applicable DTC troubleshooting.
If DTC other than DTC P0638, P2100, P2101, P2102, P2103, P2107, P2108 or P2119 is detected, repair it according to applicable DTC troubleshooting.
3)Set ignition “ON” and select “Throttle Valve Test” under “Utility” of SUZUKI scan tool. Follow the instructions indicated on SUZUKI scan tool.
NOTE:
For details of SUZUKI scan tool, refer to its Operator’s Manual.
4)Check operating sound from inlet throttle valve. If inlet throttle valve does not operate, replace inlet throttle valve.
