Engine Vacuum Check
Precautions: General safety (00)
1)Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
2)For M/T model, place gear shift lever in “Neutral” and apply parking brake.
For A/T model, place select lever in P range and apply parking brake.
For A/T model, place select lever in P range and apply parking brake.
3)Stop engine and turn off all electric switches.
4)Remove air cleaner assembly. 
5)Remove PCV hose (1) from PCV valve (2).
6)Connect special tool to PCV hose (1).
7)Close PCV valve (2) using tape (3) or the like.
8)Install air cleaner assembly.
9)Run engine at specified idle speed.
10)Read vacuum gauge. Vacuum should be within specification.
Vacuum specification (at sea level)
59 to 73 kPa (0.60 to 0.74 kgf/cm2, 8.56 to 10.59 psi, 0.59 to 0.73 bar) at specified idle speed
11)Remove air cleaner assembly.
12)Disconnect special tool from PCV hose.
13)Pull off tape from PCV valve.
14)Install PCV hose to PCV valve.
15)Install air cleaner assembly.
