Camshaft Housing Assembly Disassembly and Reassembly
Precautions: General safety (00)
Disassembly
1)Remove oil filler tube (1) and O-ring from camshaft housing.
2)Remove vacuum pump. 
3)Remove CMP sensor.
4)Remove camshaft pulley (1) from exhaust camshaft.
5)Remove intake camshaft gear (1) and exhaust camshaft gear (2) from each camshaft.
7)Remove oil seal (1) and exhaust camshaft (2) using special tool and hammer.
8)Remove plug (3) and intake camshaft (4) using special tool and hammer (5).
Reassembly
1)Compare length and shape between two camshafts for their correct installation to camshaft housing.

2)Apply engine oil to sliding parts of camshafts and camshaft housing, and install camshafts to camshaft housing.
3)Align camshaft housing plug holes (1) with camshaft gaps (2) and lock camshafts (3) inserting special tools (A) to plug holes as shown in figure.
NOTE:
For correct installation of timing belt, keep special tools inserted until timing belt is installed.
4)Install intake camshaft gear (1) and exhaust camshaft gear (2) to each camshaft as shown in figure and then tighten camshaft gear bolts as follows.
a)Tighten camshaft gear bolts to 31 N·m (3.2 kgf-m, 23.0 lbf-ft).
5)Install new oil seal (1) and tightening bolt (2) of camshaft pulley until special tool contacts with camshaft housing.
6)Install plug to camshaft housing using plastic hammer.
7)Install camshaft pulley (1) to exhaust camshaft (2) aligning protrusion (3) with groove (4) and tighten camshaft pulley bolt as follows.
a)Tighten camshaft pulley bolt to 30 N·m (3.1 kgf-m, 22.5 lbf-ft).
8)Install CMP sensor.
9)Install vacuum pump.
