Thrust Bearing General Information
Supply parts of thrust bearings are available in standard size and 0.127 mm (0.00500 in.) undersize.
Crankshaft Thrust Play
1)Install main bearings, thrust bearings, crankshaft and bearing caps, and tighten main bearing cap bolts referring to Main Bearing, Crankshaft and Cylinder Block Removal and Installation:D16AA.
2)Using a dial gauge, measure crankshaft thrust play.
If measured value is not as specified, replace thrust bearings with new one and recheck thrust play.
If measured value is not as specified, replace thrust bearings with new one and recheck thrust play.
