Water Pump Removal and Installation

Removal
1)Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.
2)Drain coolant. 
3)Remove timing belt.
4)Remove water pump (1).
Installation
Reverse removal procedure noting the following points.
•Clean mating surface of water pump (1) and cylinder head.
•Use new gasket (2).
•Tighten water pump bolts (3) to specified torque.
•Use new gasket (2).
•Tighten water pump bolts (3) to specified torque.
•Refill cooling system with coolant.
•After installation, check each joint for leakage.
