Brake Pedal Play Inspection

With engine stopped, depress brake pedal several times.

Depress brake pedal with a finger until resistance is felt and measure distance to that point.

If brake pedal play is not as specified, check push rod length.  

If push rod length is as specified, check cylinder push rod clevis and pin for installation condition and looseness. Replace cylinder push rod clevis or pin, if they are loose.
