DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

DTC detecting condition	Trouble area
P2797: Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Pump Performance This DTC is detected if the following conditions are met. •Difference between input shaft speed and output shaft speed is more than 350 rpm. •Difference between engine speed and input shaft speed is less than 1,000 rpm. •P0731, P074A, P074B and P074C are not detected. (2 D/C detection logic)	•Electro magnetic oil pump solenoid valve •Valve body assembly •A/T (forward clutch) •TCM

DTC Confirmation Procedure

WARNING:

If you do not select a suitable route and take proper precautions when performing a road test, an accident can occur.

•Select a level road with no traffic to minimize the risk of accident.
•Perform the test extremely carefully.
•Perform the road test using 2 persons, a driver and a tester.

NOTE:

•Check that the following conditions are met in this “DTC Confirmation Procedure”.

—DTC P0717, P0722, P1736, P1737, P1738, P1739, U0073 or U0100 is not detected.
—ECM: DTC P0335 is not detected.

•Troubleshoot first unexpected DTCs previously detected in “DTC Confirmation Procedure”.

1)Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.

2)Drive vehicle at approx. 50 to 80 km/h (31 to 50 mile/h) in D range for 1 minute. (Keep accelerator pedal position constant in this step.)

DTC Troubleshooting

2	ATF check 1)Check ATF for level and deterioration. Is check result OK?	Go to Step 3.	Refill or change ATF.
3	C1 clutch pressure check 1)Check C1 clutch pressure. Is check result OK?	Go to Step 4.	Repair or replace defective parts.
4	Electro magnetic oil pump solenoid valve check 1)Remove valve body assembly. 2)Check electro magnetic oil pump solenoid valve for proper operation. Is check result OK?	Go to Step 5.	Replace valve body assembly.
5	Valve body check 1)Check that fluid passage is not clogged in valve body assembly. Is check result OK?	Check A/T mechanical system (forward clutch). If OK, substitute a known-good TCM and recheck DTC.	Clean or replace valve body assembly.
