DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area
DTC detecting condition Trouble area
P0703-62: Brake Switch “B” – Signal Compare Failure
Brake switch signal from wire and brake switch signal via CAN disagree.
(1 D/C detection logic)
•Brake light switch and/or its circuit
•ECM
•TCM
P0703-68: Brake Switch “B” – Event Information
TCM confirms P0703-68 if both P0719-13 and P0571-24 are confirmed.
(1 D/C detection logic)
P0719-13: Brake Switch “B” Circuit Low – Circuit Open
Brake switch circuit is open.
(1 D/C detection logic)
DTC Confirmation Procedure
WARNING:
If you do not select a suitable route and take proper precautions when performing a road test, an accident can occur.
•Select a level road with no traffic to minimize the risk of accident.
•Perform the test extremely carefully.
•Perform the road test with 2 persons, a driver and a tester.
NOTE:
Check that the following condition is satisfied in this procedure.
•11 V < Battery voltage < 15 V
1)Start engine and drive vehicle.

Was “Twin Clutch System Check” performed?
Go to Step 2.

DTC check
Is there any DTC(s) other than P0703-62, P0703-68 and P0719-13?
Go to troubleshooting for applicable DTC.
Go to Step 3.

Parameter check
1)With ignition “OFF”, connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC.
2)Set ignition “ON”.
3)Check “Brake status via CAN” parameter displayed on SUZUKI scan tool with brake pedal operating.
Is check result OK?
Check for intermittent trouble. icon 
Go to Step 4.

1)Check DTC in ECM. icon 
Is check result OK?
Repair TCM and recheck DTC. icon
