B1060-15: Driver Air Bag (1st stage) Circuit Shorted to Power Supply
Driver air bag (inflator) module circuit has been shorted to power supply.
•Driver air bag (inflator) module circuit
•Contact coil assembly
•SDM

Was “Air Bag Diagnostic System Check” performed?
Go to Step 2.

Driver air bag (inflator) module circuit check
1)Check that ignition is “OFF”.
2)Disconnect “G347” or “G374” connector. icon 
3)Disconnect “L04” connector. icon 
4)Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool (B).
5)Set ignition “ON”.
6)Check the following point.
•Voltage between each of “A3” and “A4” circuits and ground: 0 V

Is check result OK?
Go to Step 4.
Go to Step 3.

Floor harness circuit check
1)Check that ignition is “OFF”.
2)Disconnect “L377” connector.
3)Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool (B).
4)Set ignition “ON”.
5)Check the following point.
•Voltage between each of “A3” and “A4” circuits and ground: 0 V
Special Tool
(A): 09932–76010
(B): 09932–75100

Is check result OK?
Replace instrument panel harness.
Replace floor harness.

Contact coil circuit check
1)Check that ignition is “OFF”.
2)Connect “G347” or “G374” connector.
3)Remove driver air bag (inflator) module from steering column. icon 
4)Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool (B).
5)Set ignition “ON”.
6)Check the following point.
•Voltage between each of “A3” and “A4” circuits and ground: 0 V
Special Tool

(B): 09932–75100

Is check result OK?
Replace SDM and recheck DTC. icon 
Replace contact coil assembly. icon 
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
•Reconnect all air bag system components and check that all components are properly mounted.
•Clear DTCs, referring to DTC Clearance if any DTC is detected.
•Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check to check that the trouble has been solved.
