Headlight Unit Removal and Installation

CAUTION:
Touching a hot bulb may cause a burn.
Do not touch any bulb when it is hot.
NOTICE:
If you touch the glass surface of a bulb with your bare hand, the oils from your skin can cause the bulb to overheat and burst when the lights are on.
Do not touch any bulb when removing the headlight housing.
NOTE:
•Bulb(s) can be replaced with headlight unit installed on vehicle.
•Low-beam headlight of LED headlight model is LED.
Replace headlight unit assembly if low-beam headlight is defective.
•After any of the following service, aim headlights.
•Low-beam headlight of LED headlight model is LED.
Replace headlight unit assembly if low-beam headlight is defective.
•After any of the following service, aim headlights.
—Headlight bulb replacement (halogen headlight model)
—Headlight unit removal and installation
—Headlight unit removal and installation
Removal
1)Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.
2)Remove front bumper and front bumper holders.
3)Disconnect headlight unit connectors.
4)Remove headlight unit screws (1) and clip (2) and then remove headlight unit (3).
5)Remove bulbs, if necessary.

Installation
Reverse removal procedure noting the following point.
•Install headlight unit screws and clip according to the following procedure.
a.Install headlight unit clip (1).
b.Set front bumper side holder (2) to front fender.
c.Install headlight unit screws (3) in numerical order (“1” – “4”).
b.Set front bumper side holder (2) to front fender.
c.Install headlight unit screws (3) in numerical order (“1” – “4”).
