DTC Troubleshooting
NOTE:
If keyless entry control module is used in another vehicle before, ignition key cannot be registered. Always install new keyless entry control module whenever replacement is necessary.

1)Set ignition “OFF” and leave ignition “OFF” for 5 seconds or more.
2)Set ignition “ON”
3)Recheck DTC.
Is current DTC B1167 detected?

Go to Step 2.

Check for intermittent trouble.

1)Check DTC in ECM.

Go to troubleshooting for applicable DTC.

DTC recheck
1)Perform ECM Registration:Ignition Switch Model.
2)Check that ignition is “OFF”.
3)Set ignition “ON”.
4)Recheck DTC.
Is DTC B1167 still detected?

Go to Step 4.

1)Perform “Immobilizer Key Registration”.
2)Check that ignition is “OFF”.
3)Set ignition “ON”.
4)Recheck DTC.
Is DTC B1167 still detected?

Replace keyless entry control module and recheck DTC. If DTC B1167 is still detected, replace ECM and recheck DTC.
