•Keyless entry system function:
Door can be locked or unlocked by pushing the lock or unlock button of remote controller.
•Keyless engine start function:
Ignition mode can be switched and engine can be started / stopped by depressing clutch pedal (M/T model) or brake pedal (A/T model / twin clutch system model) and pushing engine switch while carrying the remote controller.
If the remote controller battery has run down or a system malfunction has occurred, doors can be locked or unlocked with the emergency key built into remote controller and the engine can be started by touching the remote controller to the engine switch.
If there is a malfunction in CAN communication line, ECM, or the keyless start control module, etc., ignition mode cannot be changed to “OFF” due to fail-safe operation. Follow the following procedure to stop engine. Check that engine is not started until malfunction has been repaired.
1)Push and hold engine switch for approximately 2 seconds or repeat push and release engine switch 3 times with clutch pedal (M/T model) or brake pedal (A/T model / twin clutch system model) released to stop engine. Ignition mode switches to “ACC” in this case.
2)Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery until malfunction has been repaired to prevent battery from going flat.
