ENG A-STOP Control Module Self-Diagnosis Function

ENG A-STOP control module monitors conditions of the system components and circuits. When an abnormal condition in the system occurs, ENG A-STOP control module performs control as follows.

ENG A-STOP control module has self-diagnosis function that stores DTC for abnormalities detected in ENG A-STOP system. Stored DTCs remain in memory of ENG A-STOP control module unless they are cleared.

When a malfunction is detected in ENG A-STOP control module, ENG A-STOP control module turns on ENG A-STOP warning light to blink to warn the driver. The warning light is turned off when normal condition is detected.

ENG A-STOP control module performs fail-safe control when an abnormal condition related to ENG A-STOP system is detected and stops all control to protect the system.
