CAUTION: Always use the correct bulb size and type for replacement. An incorrect bulb size or type may overheat and cause damage to the lamp, the socket or the lamp wiring.
CAUTION: Do not contaminate the bulb glass by touching it with your fingers or by allowing it to contact other oily surfaces. Shortened bulb life will result.

1. Align the headlamp bulb base (2) with the keyed opening on the back of the headlamp unit (1).
2. Insert the bulb and base into the headlamp until the base is firmly seated.
3. Using the tabs on each side of the connector receptacle, rotate the bulb base clockwise about 30 degrees to lock it into place.
4. Reinstall the headlamp unit (1) into the mounting collar (3). (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/LAMPS/LIGHTING - EXTERIOR/HEADLAMP UNIT - DOMESTIC - INSTALLATION).
5. Reconnect the battery negative cable.

1. Insert the headlamp bulb (4) into the keyed opening in the headlamp unit housing (1).
2. Be certain the bulb is fully seated in the headlamp, then pivot the wire bulb retainer back over the bulb flange.
3. Pinch the two ends of the wire bulb retainer together and engage them under the hooks to secure them against the flange of the headlamp bulb.
4. Position the center openings of the rubber boot seal (2) over the base of the headlamp bulb and engage it fully over the bulb base.
5. Position the outer circumference of the boot seal over the flange on the back of the headlamp unit housing and pull it down around the circumference housing flange until it is fully engaged.
6. Reinstall the headlamp unit into the mounting collar (3). (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/LAMPS/LIGHTING - EXTERIOR/HEADLAMP UNIT - EXPORT - INSTALLATION).
7. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
LAMP - DOMESTIC

1. Position the headlamp unit (2) close enough to the front of the vehicle to reconnect the engine compartment wire harness connector to the headlamp bulb connector receptacle.
2. Position the headlamp unit into the mounting collar (1) on the face of the front end module carrier.
3. Install the retainer (3) over the headlamp unit and against the mounting collar with the retainer screw tabs in alignment with the screw holes in the collar.
4. Install and tighten the four screws that secure the retainer to the collar. Tighten the screws until they are fully seated.
5. Reinstall the grille panel onto the front of the vehicle. (Refer to 23 - BODY/EXTERIOR/GRILLE - INSTALLATION).
6. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
7. Confirm proper headlamp alignment. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/LAMPS/LIGHTING - EXTERIOR - STANDARD PROCEDURE - FRONT LAMP AIMING).
LAMP - EXPORT

1. Position the headlamp unit (2) close enough to the front of the vehicle to reconnect the engine compartment wire harness connectors to the headlamp bulb connector receptacle and to the position lamp bulb pigtail connector (5).
2. Position the headlamp unit into the mounting collar (1) on the face of the front end module carrier.
3. Install the retainer (3) over the headlamp unit and against the mounting collar with the retainer screw tabs in alignment with the screw holes in the collar.
