REMOVAL

3.8L




1. Remove cap from power steering fluid reservoir.
2. Siphon as much fluid as possible from the power steering fluid reservoir.
3. Remove the air box assembly
(Refer to 9 - ENGINE/AIR INTAKE SYSTEM/AIR CLEANER HOUSING - REMOVAL)..
4. Remove the pressure hose at the pump.
5. Remove the supply hose from the pump.


6. Remove the drive belt
(Refer to 7 - COOLING/ACCESSORY DRIVE/DRIVE BELTS - REMOVAL).
7. Remove the three front mounting bolts through the pulley (2).
8. Remove the pump (with pulley).
9. If the pulley (1) needs removal, (Refer to 19 - STEERING/PUMP/PULLEY - REMOVAL).

2.8L- DIESEL




1. Siphon out as much power steering fluid as possible.
2. Remove the air cleaner box
(Refer to 9 - ENGINE/AIR INTAKE SYSTEM/AIR CLEANER HOUSING - REMOVAL).
3. Remove the turbo air inlet tube (1).


4. Remove the serpentine drive belt.
5. Remove the three bolts (4) securing the pulley (3) to the pump (2).
6. Remove the power steering hoses (1&6).



7. Remove the three bolts (2) securing the pump (1) to the engine.
8. Remove the pump (1) from the vehicle.
